Mission Trips to the Philippines

History...
Since 1994, over one thousand high school, college, graduate students, and adults have given two to five weeks of their summer to travel overseas to the Philippines with the Bob Tebow Evangelistic Association. These summer missionaries have had the opportunity to preach the Gospel in schools, offices, marketplaces, and malls. During these meetings, individuals have had the chance to minister through preaching, singing, and personal testimonies. Other opportunities to minister have included working in medical clinics, playing evangelistic basketball games, and conducting evangelistic film showings. These individuals are trained both theologically and through field experience. The many people who have received eternal life have truly made these summers significant.
Why take a mission trip with BTEA?
This evangelistic trip has been life changing for all who have been involved. It is unique in that the summer missionaries are taught to preach and given many opportunities to do so. Many of the young people who have joined us on previous trips are currently in full-time ministry, and all have gained great confidence in communicating the Gospel and have developed a heart for the world. This trip is part of an outreach to bring the Gospel to every village in the Philippines.
What can you expect?
This trip is not a vacation. The long days, bumpy roads, strict schedules, and difficult assignments make this trip a strenuous one. Much physical and emotional sacrifice will be demanded of each team member. You will be called on to work from morning to night, but it will be work of purpose and accomplishment. You will have the opportunity to be part of a team of other young people and adults who will be able to present the good news of the free gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus to Filipinos at schools, film showings, markets, and other various locations. You can expect to be challenged and encouraged by the other members of your team. You will see first hand the power of God through the preaching of the gospel (Romans 1:16). God will not only do a work in the hearts of those you minister to, but He will also do a great work in your heart as well.
What will you learn?
Throughout the trip, there will be godly men and women, including Rev. Bob Tebow, who will coach each individual and help each one develop a clear presentation of the gospel through preaching, singing, and sharing personal testimonies to groups of all ages and sizes.
What do you need to know?
Age: Fifteen years old is the youngest age we take on the trip.
Main criteria: We are looking for individuals who are faithful, available, and teachable.
Application Process: In order to go on one of our mission trips, you must complete the application process. Applications are found below. You can print the forms, fill them out, and send them to our office.
First-time applicants: Must fill out all forms below, excluding the Returning Application. All Medical Authorization forms must be notarized. Because of limited staff and accommodations in the Philippines and the intensity of the trip, we will not be able to accept everyone that applies. Our office will begin accepting applications in January.
Returning applicants: Must fill out a new Medical Authorization form, as well as a Returning Application.
Passport: A passport is a necessary document for travel to the Philippines. (You can get a passport application at your local post office or online at www.usps.com. Online is the preferred method). This process can take several weeks; so, you will want to start the process early.
