Bob Tebow Evangelistic Association

OUR MISSION

The Bob Tebow Evangelistic Association has been serving in the Philippines since 1985 with five major priorities: Evangelism, Church Planting, Pastor Training, an Orphanage, and the Training of the Next Generation of Evangelists. It is the primary goal of BTEA to make the gospel of Jesus Christ available to every person in the world.

OUR HISTORY

1985

In 1985, the Bob Tebow Evangelistic Association began with the mission to take the gospel to those who have never heard and plant Bible believing churches where previously there were no churches. Bob lived in the Philippines with his wife Pam and their five children from 1985 to 1990, preaching the gospel, planting churches, and establishing a staff of Filipino national evangelists, which now number 57. In addition to training the BTEA staff, Bob also began holding seminars and conferences to train local Filipino pastors.

1992

In 1992, BTEA started an orphanage on the Island of Mindanao. The orphanage is called "Uncle Dick's Home" and is now home to 23 orphans and a wonderful national staff.

1994

Since returning to the United States in 1990, Bob continues to make regular trips to the Philippines. In 1994, Bob took his first group of young people on a summer mission trip. Bob and his staff now lead short-term mission trips in January, April, July, and October, during which they hope to instill a love for missions and train the next generation of evangelists.

1998

In 1998, BTEA began to implement a plan to preach the gospel in every barangay (village) in the Philippines. In a country of 92,000,000, it is estimated that over 65,000,000 Filipinos have never once heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. BTEA evangelists are assigned a geographical area and systematically draw crowds with nightly film showings combined with preaching the gospel.

2005

In 2005, a boat ministry was established to reach the many small islands in the Philippines, where the majority of the inhabitants live and die without ever hearing the gospel. Currently, the BTEA boat ministry includes two evangelists, two helpers, and one mechanic.

TODAY

Since 1985, there has been an increasing movement of the Holy Spirit in the Philippines. BTEA feels an intense sense of urgency to get the gospel to every Filipino before this great door of opportunity closes.
