June Acera is from the province of Bukidnon, which is located in Mindanao in the southern part of the Philippines. He grew up in a Christian family and invited Jesus to be his Savior when he was in sixth grade. Two years after graduating from high school, he went to seminary at Baptist Bible Seminary and Institute, where he graduated with a degree in theology in 1999. Following graduation from seminary, he worked for two years as a missionary pastor in the province of Rizal.
In December 2001, he started working with the Bob Tebow Evangelistic Association as an evangelist. He married Glenda Pamatian, who was his classmate in seminary, in May 2002. The Lord blessed them with a son in July 2011, and they named him Zani.
After serving with BTEA for over seven years, June became the Overseer of our 57 national staff in the summer of 2009 and has faithfully served in that role ever since. June is known as a servant-leader, who loves the Lord, his family, and the BTEA ministry. June leads the team by example and serves as an accountability partner for the staff, encouraging them to persevere through many challenges to bring glory to God.
